The term braided wire rope can describe different products. A strand count alone does not confirm geometry, strength or application. ASTRO identifies the requested construction from the customer drawing or approved sample before confirming manufacturability.
Small braided steel cable may be considered for compact mechanical assemblies, suspension, restraint, control or tether products when the specified construction is suitable. Lifting, aerospace, marine, transport restraint and other safety-critical uses require a separately confirmed specification, design responsibility and supporting test documentation.
