ASTRO supplies 8mm steel wire rope for OEM assemblies that require a defined combination of construction, material, coating, length and end fittings. Each enquiry is reviewed against the drawing and required load.
State whether you need bare cable, reels, cut lengths or a completed wire rope assembly.
8mm finished diameter with tolerance confirmed in the quotation.
1×19, 7×7 and 7×19 constructions can be reviewed by application.
Stainless steel, galvanised steel and coated specifications can be discussed.
Cut lengths, reels and completed assemblies with defined terminals can be quoted.

8mm wire rope can be considered for mechanical assemblies and suspension or restraint products. Rigging, lifting, transport restraint, marine and other safety-critical uses require a separately confirmed specification, design responsibility and supporting test documentation.
Provide working load, minimum breaking load, safety factor, bend conditions and test method. Values must be confirmed for the quoted construction, material, coating and termination.
Send the construction, material, coating, length, both end connections, load requirement, quantity and destination.
Specify any material certificate, dimensional inspection or assembly load test required for the 8mm wire rope. Availability and scope are confirmed with the quotation.
