A nominal diameter does not determine every property of a wire rope. Include the following details so that the quoted product matches your design.
Material: required steel grade and surface finish.
Construction: required strand arrangement and flexibility.
Dimensions: diameter tolerance, finished length and length tolerance.
Coating: required material, colour and finished outside diameter, where applicable.
End connections: drawings and dimensions of loops, terminals or other fittings.
Supply: reel length or assembly quantity, packaging and delivery destination.
Request product-specific technical data for the selected material and construction. Minimum breaking force and working load are different values; a working load must account for the complete cable assembly, end connections, installation and intended use.
For lighting suspension or tool retention, provide the intended load, arrangement and test requirements with your enquiry. Do not select a load-bearing assembly from cable diameter alone.
